I have been licensed as a clinical psychologist since 1985 and continue to love my work. It is a privilege to work with people who trust me with their worries, concerns, and struggles. For therapy to be successful I believe it must take place in a collaborative and supportive environment in an atmosphere of warmth and compassion. I bring my many years of expertise in the field so that together we can understand how to make your life better and more fulfilling. I recognize that people who come into therapy have made the best possible adaptation to their life circumstances at that time and together we work to uncover and change repetitive patterns and unconscious motivations that are at work in the here-and-now for a more joyful life.
I work with a wide range of people across the lifespan, and in addition to my training and certification by AAMFT-CA in LGBT Affirmative Psychotherapy I also focus on issues facing expectant parents and parents of infants as well as difficulties throughout the lifespan. The range of challenges for people in my practice also runs the gamut including, but not limited to individuals who would like to have greater self-awareness to people struggling with psycho-physiologic disorders, overwhelming anxiety, PTSD, high risk pregnancy, and grief and bereavement.
